Homeless outreach groups seeing increase in people staying at Milwaukee Park & Ride

Going into the fall, sleeping outdoors becomes a lot more difficult. Hopefully Milwaukee can get them housed before it starts getting cold.

A growing number of people who are homeless are now staying at a Milwaukee Park & Ride. The public parking lot is located at the Holt Avenue exit right off Interstate 94.

Erik England and his girlfriend Mel Schey currently call that Park & Ride location "home base."

"We've been here... since about May," England told 12 News.

They split time between a tent and their car parked on site.
