Hey guys, like many I came over from reddit due to the API changes and subsequent shutdown of 3rd party apps. I'm hoping this community can be an alternative to r/hololive for those who no longer enjoy reddit. To get things rolling, I thought we could all talk about how we fell down the rabbit hole, but feel free to post anything Holopro related, whether that be memes, clips, art, or even just simping for your oshi. I'll start-another youtuber I follow was playing Danganronpa and his friend kept referencing Pekora when a character named Peko was onscreen. I looked her up on youtube and subbed after a few clips. Now my youtube recs are full of vtuber clips and I'm subbed to everyone in EN and some from JP and ID.

  • I started with the simple OOKUM BOKUM! from Korone to make me aware that they existed. Then I learned about Coco and was trying to figure out just what I was missing. Right on time, Myth is announced and it took a bit to get used to but I fell in love with the idea that these girls can be themselves on screen without having to do a bunch of things like girls sexing themselves up on Twitch.

And that's truly what we fell in love with! Their characters and their cool designs and lore. It all connects into a wonderful experience where the fans even get their time to shine in the spotlight. Especially art, videos, and games! They lower the bar of entry for fans to get recognized and give great positive inspiration to them. Simply wonderful to have such streamers in the world.

But it's also an atmosphere thing. I love that Hololive tries to be Seiso as much as possible. Because when my Oshi IRyS breaks it over it's back, it makes it that much better. Same for Bae with her pp game.

But too much unseiso can be too much. Which is why I don't watch much Vshojo. But I'm full up as it is with watching streamers so I'll keep with Hololive for awhile. There are some amazing Vtubers out there idk though!
