Redgif Support

Can we have inline Redgif player support please? Apollo supported this back in the Reddit days and it’s a feature missing from all other Lemmy apps.

I’ve been in contact with them over the past few weeks and currently they are not issuing any API keys for Lemmy projects until they “understand how content is currently being displayed and from there we can make decisions on further API requests”
- Would using temporary tokens be ok? that's how yt-dlp gets content from redgifs (I think).
  
  This is the route I initially went and I kept getting Bad request signature. back when attempting to use the token. That's when I reached out to RedGIFs support.
- Liftoff app does it somehow…
  
  I’ll give it another go but their support specifically told me that they haven’t authorised any Lemmy apps and I don’t want to step on any toes to potentially ruin a future relationship with them.
