That looks like Pygmy by Chuck Palahniuk. If so you are reading something from the point of view of an indoctrinated child from a fictional foreign country. It's a fun read, if you don't mind the broken english !
Yeah the writing style is really pushing me, and it seems a little too indulgent of Palahniuk's style, but I am enjoying it so far and am expecting some commentary.
