USB Rechargeable Protected 14500 LiIon from Lumintop, fit and work in SC53c N.
Some people use Unprotected LiIon, responsibly. Their brain is the LVP.. They monitor battery voltage, and recharge before the battery gets too low.
When going from 14500 LiIon, back to AA, remove the LiIon and Press the Switch for a moment, while the light has no battery inside, before inserting the AA battery.
This resets the battery meter so it works w AA Voltage after using LiIon..
It’s great for an AA light. Not particularly powerful, but if you like Zebras then I imagine you’d like it… and I do! But.
AA is a sacrifice in output and runtime. I have to get something back for that trade-off, and overall footprint is my currency on that one. The fact that the 53 has a head size fairly close to the 64 is an issue for me, so I’m still hunting the best compromise for an AA light. The 53 is very short, but I wouldn’t say it’s particularly narrow (though the body and tail are an excellent size). If that doesn’t scare you off, get it. If you think you’ll want better output, maybe consider an M150 instead.
I currently have the SC53c N and the H53c N paired with IKEA ladda 2450 and 1900 batteries. I really like them both, they might not seem to have "enough" output for some. As for me I hardly need anything more than 200lumens for the daily task that I do. Don't get me wrong though, I enjoy REALLY bright lights too lol. They're also built like a tank as well.
