In an effort to remind the public that Pixar is once again making movies for multiplexes, Disney shelled out to send “Elemental” to the Cannes Film Festival, where it was greeted with a five-minute standing ovation. “We’re trying to make sure people realize there’s a great deal you’re missing by not seeing it on the big screen,” Docter added.

    Wife and I can’t stomach the prices at the theater when we’re already paying for Disney+ or can buy a movie to stream in 4K and Atmos at home. Plus, we’ve realized we’re a lot more comfortable. The entire family prefers to wait and see it in our home theater vs seeing it now in a cinema.
