Blimey, on what planet is Kane regarded as a budget option?! It feels like they came up with the whole 'age VS budget' topic and then couldn't actually fit any striker into the budget side of it so went with Kane because he's older.
Found the Mohamed Camara part interesting, can't say I've seen him play so I can't attest to his ability, but it was a decent point he made about getting a player that can fill in at both roles
Yeah, TIFO used to be decent before the Athletic takeover and the launch of TIFO IRL. Now it just depends who is doing the video. Jon Mackenzie does despise United as he's a Leeds fan, so I can imagine that may be why it was so heavily phoned in.
The midfield point about Camara is a good one though, someone that can cover at 6 or 8 would be good. Mount certainly doesn't fit that profile, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Mainoo get a good number of minutes during pre-season in a deeper role.
I was really looking forward to this video this season as it really feels like United have to be proper sensible... and then it ends up being the worst video they've put out in a long time.
He's right about the age profile thing but then there isn't a position by position look at a few options like there used to be, just "what about Mohamed Camara?". Maybe their hands are tied by the takeover? Either way saying De Jong and Kane would be the cheaper options is just absolute nonsense.
Doesn't bode well for the future of Tifo if this is what McKenzie puts out on his own.
