Magazine search not really showing up what I'm looking for. Think it's the algorithm rather than lack of content.
Like I'm trying to find magazines for meditation. But only one dead magazine shows up.
I'm a new kbin user. It feels like the "search" box for Magazines only (?) searches the magazines' description field? For example, if I search the word "silicon", I get a search result for the magazine "[email protected]".
That magazine has a description including the text, "A magazine for news and discussion about a small Silicon Valley fruit company". Note the word "silicon" as part of silicon valley.
If I search "silicon fruit", I get no results. If I search "silicon valley", I again get the same magazine.
I found this magazine ([email protected]) by searching for the word "feedback".
I'm still experimenting to see how best to navigate and find what I want.
I'd also love to find a magazine or thread that is something like "new users", "user guide", "how to setup your kbin profile", etc. Trying to search for terms like that isn't getting me anything I want.

Welcome! I set up m/quickstart to that end. And yes you are right it does search the description field.
