I’m legitimately worried about us going into the season without a top CDM
I know Mac Allister and Trent can both play in a midfield double pivot, but with Fab gone, we are sorely lacking a top midfielder with destroying and shielding qualities. And I’m not convinced even Lavia is the answer here. I think this is a key deficit when comparing us to other top six teams.
We have to believe that Klopp and the transfer team will address this. Surely we can't head into another season under staffed.
I understand the feeling of being worried. But Klopp has said “trust us” and that more signings will happen.
I think it’s exciting. At least this is my perspective. We don’t need to solve these problems, that’s Klopp et al’s job to solve. And they are obviously going to try and solve them both internally and with new players. I’m going into the season optimistic they have some plan.
I could be proven incorrect. But I don’t see any reason to be worried or angry now.
