Spotify Has Stopped Even Sort of Trying to Stem Joe Rogan’s Vaccine Misinformation As a recent conversation between the podcast host and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. makes clear.
As a recent conversation between the podcast host and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. makes clear.
This is the article that Joe Rogan does not want you to see. Vaccine scientist Dr. Peter Hotez posted this article on Twitter, which resulted in him being lambasted from Rogan for posting this (expletive) article.
This article briefly covers the interview of RFK Jr done by Joe Rogan, and analyzes some of the misinformation therein.
I don’t think I would characterize Rogans response in that way. He asked Dr. Hotez to come on his show to publicly debate RFK Jr and disprove his misinformation. I think Rogan and a lot of people (including myself) would love to hear a scientist explain where RFK Jr is wrong and why.
Maybe those people should read the literature instead then. Not every discussion is fit for a few hour debate on a podcast with an uninformed host and level of fact checking being "a bloke who sits off screen and Google's things".
I stand by my characterization of Rogan's response. Dr. Hotez offered to discuss vaccines on Rogan's show, but Rogan dismissed it quite offensively. There is no reason to believe that Joe Rogan, who has his own history of anti-vaccine messaging, would be a fair adjudicator, especially given that he is essentially trying to bully Dr. Hotez into engaging in this to begin with.
You have every opportunity to listen to real scientists discuss RFK Jr's various fallacies and bad faith arguments in significant detail. I refer you to the following:
Hotez did not agree to debate RFK Jr, he asked to come on Joe’s show alone, which is not a debate where RFK Jr could respond in real time and have a civil discussion. Same deal with the highly sensationalized websites you just pointed me to. Hotez started the whole exchange by posting that Vice article you’ve been spamming, Rogan simply asked him to come on the show and discuss it with RFK Jr in person. There was nothing offensive or bullying in the way he asked him.
