Is what I describe against the site rules?

Most people who use Discord have heard of the concept of raiding. Raiding is where you overwhelm a Discord server with an influx of new members trying to make the server unusable by filling it with junk messages so nobody can communicate in it. This is against the site rules, and there's even a report option for it.

My question though is, does the opposite apply, where if you pressure people into not joining a Discord server, you can get reported? For example, I have enemies in high places cough cough Inkblot dot art cough cough and they're trying to "unraid" me, that is, get people to shame anyone associated with me. I'm wondering if the same logic applies according to the site.

  • Here is a from the Discord guidelines page

Do not promote, coordinate, or engage in harassment. Discord is a platform where everyone can find a place to belong, and harassment prevents users from building healthy communities. We do not allow harassing behavior such as sustained bullying, ban or block evasion, doxxing, or coordinating server joins for the purposes of harassing server members (such as server raiding).

Because what you are describing is likely quite rare it doesn't sound like anything is specifically against it unless they are joining your server specifically to try to get people out.

If they are doing it on their own server or elsewhere it would likely be hard to enforce.
