What kind of deck(s) are you enjoying?
The decks I see a lot of online are-
- psychic
- grass
- fire
- dragon
Every once in a while I run into someone with an electric build or something out of the ordinary but psychic has been dominant.
I've really been enjoying playing a Dark type deck online. The type advantage really dismantles the psychic decks and has been strong enough with the cards I have available to put up a good fight against everything else. It's really been fun trying to plan out and streamline over the last few days of playing.
What have you been playing and seeing?

When I play the console games I imagine myself as a trainer or gym leader, and build a team that fits, even if it's underpowered. In Pokemon Red (gameboy) my main was Dewgong because she was so pretty, so I built a water/ice team.
I also love
fairy - beautifully alien
fighting - inner calm, zen mode
psychic - sleeping and teleportation
dark - bad omens, Godzilla universe
and it's fun to ask AI to create pokémon that fit those themes:

This point gets lost so often in the AI hate.
I'll be the first to admit AI sucks ass in all kinds of different ways. However- Being able to enter a prompt and see something original (to my eyes, I'm not here to debate about AI) is freaking cool and can be very entertaining. I can't say I love everything people come up with but I don't have to either. It's still cool to see what they can come up with!

Eh, it's in the spirit of the games. Just because this community is named after one of the newer ones doesn't mean other stuff isn't welcome.

Similarly meta deck builds can be fun but there isn't much diversity in them so they are very boring to me. I usually find an artwork I like or a type that has interesting pokemon to me and see what I can come up with. I'd rather lose trying to come up with something interesting to me than coin flip wins between a couple of standard builds.
My favorite has been a Dragonite deck with two Weezing and Koga to essentially stall while I spend 4-5 turns evolving and energizing a Dragonite.
The strongest deck I’ve found to play has been a double Pikachu ex, double Zapdos ex, pikachu > Raichu deck.
Pikachu EX has really easy early game KOs, then I can use Surge to give Raichu to clean up or snipe an EX on the opponent’s side after Pikachu softens it for a quick kill.
Both of those sound really interesting.
That koga/weezing combo is really tanky, especially early in a match. The Pikachu deck sounds especially lethal too!
I also like the dark decks. I really like the Nido heavy ones.
This is my current favorite. 2x Nidoking 2x Weezing.
