The good old times that never existed, not in the 50s not in 2008, not last year.
I was going to say the 90s and 00s before the recession was better, but then I remembered it wasn't great for the LGBT. Homophobia is casual and mainstream up until recently.
You had 911 and these pointless wars and so on and I am sure in the 90s there was enough going on that I did not perceive because I was a child.
