How about this - people mind their own fucking business and parents/doctors work out what they do for their children, and when.
I will say the culture - and I often wonder if it's no accident, given it is often losing vast amounts of money - does a disservice by seemingly trying to jam something politically related as a sanctimonious message into so many story lines. Then people blame this on the Democratic Party, as if elections will determine what will be in movies and television. Uh, you could just do what people already do, and not bother watching?
