Is English culture allowed?
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is a fun watch. Not a horrifying horror but it fits the theme of spooky season.

Not really a horror, try:
- Grabbers (2012)
- Extra Ordinary (2019)
- Oddity (2024) - not seen it yet but it has got good reviews
1 0 ReplyI found The Butcher Boy really unsettling

Saloum from Senegal, 2021.
Might seem like a crime flick for the first half, but I think it qualifies as a horror in the 2nd half.

I'm proposing Deathgasm from New Zealand.
It's comedy-horror rather than horror-horror, but it fits the seasonal theme

2 0 ReplyThanks! Will add them to the top comment after a little investigation.
Do you have any African ones?
2 0 ReplyI largely just ran through my top films and split off by country. Africa is trickier but of those I've seen:
- Dust Devil (1993) - South African co-production filmed in Namibia
- The Dead (2010) - British production but filmed in Ghana.
- Fried Barry (2020) - South African
Not seen but look worth a watch (not sure about availability though):
- Living in Bondage (1992) - Nigeria, helped kickstart the video era for Nollywood so is historically important too
- Saloum (2021) - Senegal
- Gaia (2021) - South African
