Ever been hunting? It's pretty fun
Shooting guns is fun and while I don't morally completely oppose hunting, I think that's the bigger factor in what you're referring to as opposed to killing an animal.
Yeah, there's nothing more fun than chasing after an injured elk that's high on adrenaline across the forest for five to ten kilometres.
