Breakdown 4K Blu-ray — UK Release (Oct 21st)

Paramount Pictures UK has officially announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray Jonathan Mostow's Breakdown (1997), starring Kurt Russell, J.T. Walsh, Kathleen Quinlan, M.C. Gainey, and Jack Noseworthy. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on October 21. Jeff Taylor (Russell) and his wife Amy (Kathleen Quinlan) are headed toward a new life in California when their car's engine dies on a remote highway. Amy accepts a ride from a helpful trucker (J.T. Walsh) while Jeff waits with the car. But when Jeff shows up at the agreed rendezvous, he finds his wife's not there. The locals aren't talking; the police aren't much help. With no one to turn to, Jeff battles his worst fears and begins a desperate, danger-ridden search to find Amy - before it's too late!

After Australia and the US getting special edition blurays, I'm happy to see the UK finally getting a decent release as well. A great film that i haven't watched since the DVD release. I think an upgrade is in order.
