My booze still from undergrad a few years back...
It made some of the worst liquor I've ever had. But in the end, it got me fairly drunk, so I would call it a success.
When was undergrad? That could be 2 or 60 years. You could be 113 years old.
19 2 ReplyLike a few years ago. I am actually 113 years old though.
20 0 ReplySee I knew something was up. Nothing wrong with learning as a century old organism.

Man, I supervised lab time for bio/chem babies in undergrad and your glassware makes me realize that I missed out on so many potential shenanigans.
Neat idea.
12 0 ReplyWho is u/poopsmith? When did u/poopsmith at least attempt college. Come with me, and let’s find out.

6 1 ReplyThis looks illegal. If you told me you were making meth in this I would believe you. That’s how dumb I am.
7 2 ReplyThat's smart, using a sous vide to get to the exact evaporation point of the ethanol. Color me impressed.
5 0 ReplyI was confused about that at first, then it clicked right before I read your comment. Like duh, a stovetop boiler would just boil everything whereas sous vide allows you to only boil the alcohol.

Bruh. Just dilute HPLC grade absolute ethanol with fruit juice. Why reinvent the wheel?
4 0 ReplyMmmm... Chefs kiss! Add a dash of some nanopure water and whatever is in the cabinet of 50 year old unquenched reagents.

@kevin Did you boil the methanol off first?
