Been reflecting on Equinox, where the EMH had his ethical subroutines deleted. Something feels off to me. What does it mean to have zero ethics? The EMH had /some/, cause he was loyal to Ransom for some reason. Seems to me Ransom's orders are no more important than anyone else's if you have no ethics. Like any old dumb computer. It does what the operator *at that time* tells it to do.
