For the newbies, why do I still see new beehaw posts in lemmy.world, and why will lemmy.world let me post to beehaw?

I’m honestly super confused about what you can and can’t do when federation ties have been cut.

same here (I think?) I'm under the impression they already defederated, but I can see new beehaw posts.

does it only affect comments? do my comments only get mirrored back to lemmy.world locally or am I not understanding it correctly
