Max is really being a bigger baby than usual today. βHe moved under breakingβ my god man you George Russelβd him, you dove like a Herron at a fish
Well the first two stints were brilliant from him. Yeah there will always be this argument that he was not fast enough but who knows what would have happened if he pitted 1st
He was quick. But team strategy screwed him over. He should have beenn pit first. It was safe for him to do so. And he could have just let the race all the way to the end. Would have been much more satisfying
I disagree, Lando not even in contention if the team didnβt undercut Piastri. Piastri deserved first service and then opportunity to maintain the lead he managed to hold (regardless of whether or not the cars make it easy to maintain a lead itβs still the work he did).
If Lando thinks he deserved it today, in his own words βtell him to catch me thenβ
Because if you donβt stand your ground until it seems inevitable youβll be ruled against then you have already admitted defeat to the stewards, which is why the investigation ended at the moment they saw him give the place back
I only first noticed it yesterday, but the McLarens have e-ink displays next to the drivers that periodically change ads. I guess I've just not noticed it for more than a year.
I have a subjective feeling that Piastri's race pace is getting closer to Norris' race pace. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out today, especially if both cars stay ahead of Max at the start.
Seems that whoever grabs the lead can make a break over the following cars and no one can catch them. We all thought it was Max/Red Bull but perhaps thatβs just how these cars are? Just cannot be touched in clean air?
McLaren put the drivers in a real awkward spot. Telling lando there will be lots of opportunities in the future and to give the spot back must have been real tough on lando, when you chased tour first victory for so long, and bow have the chance to double your score.
You can tell that oscar wasnt over the moon as well, even when he has won his first ever F1 race!
McLaren has a bright rest of the season ahead with these two amazing drivers and their car!
