mlem is currently being developed for iOS with around ~20 contributors. It's in early open beta, and I'm psyched because there's supposed to be a massive update between now and tomorrow.
memmy for iOS looks promising. Really intuitive 'swipe to upvote/downvote/reply' feature and browses similarly to Apollo. It's very barebones right now, the project is just a few days old and there's one developer (as far as I know).
Lemmy has been the best fit for me so far, and tbh the Firefox browser experience has been way better than Jerboa. Following links to other instances still isn't intuitive, but i couldn't figure out how to do it at all on the app.
I'm not yet using Jerboa for Lemmy, it always gives timeout when I liking or posting on lemmyworld. May be becaues I'm in southeast asia and lemmyworld on germany, the latency goes beyond what jerboa tolerate. :(
As for mastodon-like service (I'm rarely use mastodon account but use other server app instead), I use Subway Tooter. It is packed with useful features.
As for search and quote post, it is hot debate among mastodon community but other apps like pleroma, akkoma, calckey, misskey implement it without too much fuss. You should check them. Especially calckey and misskey. Their features and ui is neat.
