After much work, I have migrated Mlem to the REST API. Goodbye, deprecated WebSockets! Mlem is now ready for the future.

That's great! When can we expect to see the update in the app? Or is it already live?

I use Jerboa on my Android phone but I was testing it out on my iPad last night. Any chance of an ipad specific layout in the works?
