Kbin/Lemmy definitely feel a lot nicer and less mentally draining to me, there definitely seems to be fewer flame wars sparking off in the comments. It's a welcome change.
What are you listening to in terms of audiobooks? Any recommendations?
Currently going through a bunch more scientific/historic. Right now I am listening to "The Blue Tattoo - The Life of Olive Oatman" by Margot Mifflin, an American girl that was taken by Native Americans at 14 and later rejoined "white" society.
It's fascinating. Highly recommend. I learned that (at least the tribe she was with) didn't assign gender to children. At some point they had a ceremony and the kid just decided what they wanted to be. So there were male wives and the like. Homosexuality and Transgenderism doesn't seem to have been any issue whatsoever with them. Never even heard of that before at all.
