Should I still go to the expo?
I was planning to go to the Europe expo this year but then they decided to just YouTube Miku onto a TV. Although I've seen some people who said that they still enjoyed the concert even then, and since the NA and Europe expos are so far apart they might switch to a transparent screen in that meantime... what do you guys think?
I'm going to both Toronto and Dusseldorf. I hope they will learn from the US and improve the EU one. The issue isn't the screen itself but how it's placed. Online you can read many opinions about it. The screen has actually higher quality and less reflection issues than the transparent one. If done right it's not a bad experience it's just that the placement in the US makes the screen stand out too much. MikuFes24 was on a screen, yet when I watched it online I really didn't notice and I didn't hear anyone from Japan complaining. If they can make the screen blend in with the rest of the stage it won't be an issue. Sure it's not what everyone expected and I'd also love to see how the hologram looks but after all that's just part of the experience. In the end it all boils down to what your expectations are.
You absolutely should not go
It has been confirmed that the EU Tour will also use the TV. I already got the Düsseldorf tickets (without canceling insurance...) so now I have to go even if I don't wanna (because you surely can't get the purchase price of those tickets anymore). If I knew the screen situation beforehand I wouldn't have got them.
