I think I may have an idea of why this has been down-voted?
How much you buy into this vision will undoubtedly depend on your predilection toward Musk and your sense of the difficulty of forging habitable communities on an uninhabitable world like Mars.

It's just a big circle jerk.
Hating Musk is cool and nothing else matters.
If nothing else the CEO of the top rocket company talking about rockets should be a point of discussion. In stead it's "does that say Elon Musk. Downvote! Hahaha I'm so great. Take that Musk"
