Real-time strategy is back from the brink of death

This is the healthiest the genre has been for at least 10 years.

Will RTS make a comeback? Hope springs eternal :)

Idk if it's back. There really is nothing like Red Alert or Generals still.
The RTS formula needs something for the casual player. As a SC - SCII noob I felt exhausted after try-harding a couple of matches and while it was fun, it felt too much of an effort
- You are right. There has been some attempt with archon mode and coop missions, though. But individual play is still difficult and intimidating. I stopped at Gold league and never really progressed because I kept being beaten. Thus I retreated to campaigns and coop missions.
