Celebrate Pokémon Day with a Mighty Blastoise! Share Your Raid Builds Here (Scarlet/Violet)
Catch a Blastoise with the Mightiest Mark!
In celebration of Pokémon Day 2024, Blastoise is appearing in black crystal Tera Raid Battles! You can try catching Blastoise from Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 23:59 UTC.
Blastoise cannot normally be encountered in Paldea, and the Blastoise appearing during this event has Steel as its Tera Type. Be prepared—this Pokémon is a formidable foe, and it’s got the Mightiest Mark to prove it! Work together with your friends to topple this powerful Tera Pokémon!
This special Blastoise can be caught only once per save data. If you caught this Blastoise previously during a Tera Raid Battle event, you cannot catch it again. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against this Blastoise to obtain other rewards if you’ve already caught it.
This Blastoise may be featured in future events or become obtainable through other methods.

7-star Tera Raid Battles: Blastoise with the Mightiest Mark
I tried the same. My second try was a support/tank Umbreon. Fake Tears, Light Screen, Sunny Day, Screech, Haze, Mud Slap, Tera Blast, Weather Ball, or a few other options. It was okay, but team-dependent. I also tried using a Bronzong I made a while ago that's basically the same thing (Metal Sound vs Fake Tears), and it performed the same.
Vaporeon seems to be where it's at. Calm Mind + Surf are the bread-and-butter. For the other two moves it can learn a lot of the same ones as Umbreon, but I landed on Fake Tears (situational: I only bother if there are other special attackers on my team) and Tera Blast, with a Fire Tera type. Water Absorb protects you while You're fire type. It's good enough damage plus you never die. If your team doesn't have a support then Vaporeon has no problem taking a turn to cheer, especially early on when the shield is up.
