New Lord Of The Rings Movie Gets Exciting Development Update (apparently Warner Bros is trying to get Peter Jackson)

Lord of the Rings fans, here's some (potentially) good news.

We'll see, I guess...doesn't seem like any new LOTR film/show content has been doing too well recently

I mean, if he actually wants to do it and the give him the creative control for it then he remains as good a choice as he was originally to my mind. The Hobbit being a mess had a lot of studio meddling fingerprints on it, and it seems like there is a cash grab going on after Christopher Tolkien's passing.
- I agree. Being directed by Peter Jackson is not the slam dunk it once was (in my mind). I know the Hobbit was a mess for several reasons that weren’t his fault, but there was plenty he did have control over that I didn’t like.
