De Gea's Farewell Message after 12 years at United

Sad to see him go, it is an end of an era. Surely we need a goalie that fits Ten Hag playing style but I hope our fan base don't turn nasty on him. He was a god send for those post SAF years.

I just wanted to send this farewell message to all Manchester United supporters.

I would like to express my unwavering gratitude and appreciation for the love from the last 12 years. We’ve achieved a lot since my dear Sir Alex Ferguson brought me to this club. I took incredible pride everytime I pulled on this shirt, to lead the team, to represent this institution, the biggest club in the world was an honour only bestows upon a few lucky footballers.

It’s been an unforgettable and successful period since I came here. I didn’t think from leaving Madrid as a young boy we would achieve what we did together.

Now, it’s the right time to undertake a new challenge, to push myself again in new surroundings.

Manchester will always be in my heart, Manchester has shaped me and will never leave me.

It hurts. I understand that we need to move on but he's been a rock for so many years and he's been so great through it all. Will always love him.

It’s definitely time to move on now, but it’s sad to see him go. Dave was a bright light during some dark times for the club, he saved our asses countless of times.

Sad to see him go but on a bit more positive note this prob means that the Onana deal is done. Regardless, props to dave for all those years. I really wish we won a champions league medal with us

Truly an amazing keeper for 6+ years. Wish he could’ve left us on a better note, but it is how it is.
