Skiff's mission is to bring freedom to the internet by helping people collaborate and communicate with confidence and privacy. We see a deep alignment with Notion's vision to build a connected workspace and enable everyone to build tools that reflect their values and protect their privacy.
We're extremely excited to accelerate this mission by joining forces with Notion's world-class team and we are pursuing big plans for making all of our online lives freer and more empowered.
We look forward to continuing to serve you with even more exciting updates on the horizon.
Skiff has sold to Notion. They nuked their discord and locked their subreddit. You apparently have 6 months to move away.
To be fair, skiff was always garbage. I called them out for having firebase analytics in the early versions of mail. My post was deleted. I reposted with screenshots from App Manager, and my firewall logs, those were deleted.
That guy who shilled all over the privacy subs denied it and asked me to send him screenshots by email. I did, from three different addresses, including skiff, they never replied. I called them out again and they said they 'didn't receive them'. My posts and replies were deleted.
I looked at Notions privacy policy today, it will not load on any Firefox browser (Android) I use. In a nutshell it is horrific from a privacy standpoint.
Color me totally unsurprised they sold out to the first offer.
