High speed rail between STL and Chicago

The Chicago - St. Louis Lincoln Corridor is a model for developing shared-use lines around the country.
Apparently 110 mph trains are now running between STL and Chicago. Anybody taken this route recently? I wonder if there are plans to give the same treatment to the STL-KC route?

Haven’t rode it since the speed increase but it only cuts 30ish minutes off the trip. Progress is progress but we’re not anywhere near Japan or Europe still. Would love to see a KC-STL rail with true high speed
