The "guest account" loophole on which nitter depended seems to have been shut off, so nitter servers will stop working over the next few weeks. This means that using Twitter without logging in will be pretty much impossible.
What's driving me mad at the moment is the plague of bands, artists, organizations using linktr.ee instead of a website (or even if they have a website). That's what your website is for!
should make an alternative markup and transfer protocol for fediverse. copy the best bits of the web, but take away the baggage so it's easier to build new browser engines
Presumably this ought to quicken to death of Twitter, so it's not necessarily ALL bad news.
In the meantime there is always copy paste, it's not perfect receipts, but it's sufficient for most sneering purposes.
EDIT: It is a bit nuts considering the number of Official Agencies world wide that issue press releases on twitter, and not really anywhere else convenient to access by the general public (Although that is also them displaying questionnable practices.)
Good...now maybe companies will answer their damn phone when you have a problem instead of trying to redirect you to make accounts at totally unrelated websites.
Unfortunately I think this is a win for those companies; you already had to create an account to interact, but now you can't even see other people's complaints without one.
