Buti pa yung mga higanteng gagamba kahit nakakagulat may silbi e. Kahit mga daga nagagamit sa lab research. Ito talagang mga ipis, wala. They should be wiped off the face of the planet post haste.
SMNI News' YouTube channel got terminated. The red-tagging channel "Laban Kasama Ang Bayan" (named after the SMNI show with Lorraine Badoy) also got terminated on YT as well.
It's not really an in-depth thing, I just used Lemmy's search capability and took note of the number of responses and the number of deleted responses. I added the number of responses with the number of deleted responses (a negative number for new responses, a positive number for new responses is ignored). I did it for both Lemmy.world and Lemm.ee and took the average. For the smoothed out version, I just took the exponential moving average with the following factors:
sampling frequency = 1 day
average age (ϰ)= 7 days
EMA factor (α) = 1/(ϰ+1) = 0.125
That is, I am trying to smooth the values accounting for weekly variability in activity.
I guess I could have ignored the spike in activity during the Reddit blackout, but it seems that the smoothing took care of that quite well.
EDIT:
Replaced chart image with a one that has a black background for legibility for people using light mode.
Contrary to popular belief, we're not scared of being stripped our moderator duties... BUT it is a bad thing for the sub if they appoint AI mods or just any applicant that may or may not be from a troll farm.
What they appear to be doing is asking for volunteers. Check the mod code of conduct account's posting history. That would be a disaster for r/ph. Imagine if certain people there became mods.
I keep thinking about it, my best guess is I got stung by a jellyfish kaso di ko kasi nakita and not knowing is even more annoying 😒 basta walang kakamot is the rule lol
I can really only deduce based on what I got. Either way, I still like jellyfishes. Next time mag full suit na lang ako.
Madami akong natututunan for my beach trip. One could call it a vacation, but I thought it was pretty productive too.
Next time baka try ko matulog sa hammock just so I can save on accomodation💲jk. I think I'll seriously try it pero solo trip hahaha. Tapos kapag di ko kinaya pasok na lang ako and try to upgrade to an actual bed.
So, uh yesterday was reported by Yahoo! Australia to be the world's hottest day of all time.
Friederike Otto, a German climate scientist based in Britain, was quoted (in the above news article) to say that this is a "death sentence for people and ecosystems", and that we should expect more records to be broken in the coming months/years, in a negative way.
Well, shit. Better save up for the a/c and fans people. Hotter days lie ahead.
Twitter is threatening Meta with a lawsuit after the blockbuster launch of Meta’s new Twitter rival, Threads — in perhaps the clearest sign yet that Twitter views the app as a competitive threat.
On Wednesday, an attorney representing Twitter sent Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg a letter that accused the company of trade secret theft through the hiring of former Twitter employees.
So yeah, I guess after posting that flying ipis thing (which makes sense to be gone for good right?), back to regular mini-OMC na naman. Skip niyo na lang haha, but yeah Advance good night, happy weekend na din. I'm positive I won't be back sometime - till then. For now, tapusin ko lang ang mga "urgent" tasks daw sabi ni scrum master. 👍 Cheers! 🍻

You're probably back there and maybe not here. I really cannot gauge and I should not anyway. What I realized these past few days though? I won't stop caring, but I'll still have to keep this close to my chest. Bahala na ulit, as always. I'll be here though, I'll be around literally and figuratively, whatever happens from now on, as my many thanks well not only to you but for the rest of the folks that keeps me going, too. But yeah, be well, my friend.
Slightly mahal ng konti than your budget at 1.4k (with 200 off voucher code applied) but I use this one. 7 years na sa akin and still going. Madaming attachments, easy to clean, and lasts several months on a single charge.
I forgot that this thing existed and how incredibly useful it was. I used it to track MRT traffic before leaving the office. Duterte apparently re-routed the budget so they had to kill it.
And I hope the sun shines and it's a beautiful day, but something reminds you, you wish you had stayed; you can plan for a change in weather and time, but I never planned on changing your mind...

Opening the "members" file for Nueva Vizcaya gave me 496,546 rows, the same number as the household population. The "households" file for the province has 142,343 rows, one for each household.
This means in 2.3 GB worth of compressed files I've just got 108,667,043 household members + 26,374,653 households = 135,041,696 rows for the entire Philippines what the fuck
Edit: Saka ko muna isipin to masyado haha
Edit 2: Baka may magtanong, there are no personal information here, just a bunch of variables and values
Yesterday felt like it was summer season again. El Niño effect scares me. Well La Niña was also scary but El Niño is more prone to heat stroke.
Let's keep ourselves hydrated people!
Cheers to promoting this app! Hope it really succeeds. I remember using the beta during the first week of the reddit boycott. App has lots of promise, hopefully they addressed much our feedback from back then
I just read about how you can only make a Threads account if you have Instagram. And you can't delete it. You can only either deactivate your Threads profile or outright delete your Instagram account.
My main gripe with the app is how it's hard to read the posts of the accounts you follow. It's one huge pile of comments that I have no idea why it's there. Puros mga Pia Wurtzbach who I don't recall ever following in IG or mentioning. Also, the order is all over the place — most comments are from 12 hours ago, some 20 mins earlier, and so on.
I do like the UX compared to Twitter. The thread-based presentation of replies to "tweets" is much easier to read. You can also attach up to 10 photos and sifting through said photos is a breeze.
I've installed it earlier and pang-mobile lang siya. Yung website nila when visited on the PC, hanggang QR code lang para ma-download ang app sa phone.
Sa mastodon.social kasi ako nag-register last month. When I woke up earlier, I got a notif that someone signed the same email to a different instance (mastodon.ph).
