One thing I really love about lemmy is the diversity of front ends (if thats the right name?) used for youtube and other big sites.

Yes, Invidious (and others like e.g. Piped) are alternative frontends, so you don't have to mess around with the crappy YouTube website. They don't show you ads and remove all Google trackers, which is awesome for privacy.
