GOP leaders say the vote was needed to counter White House stonewalling of requests for information. But even some Republicans say there’s no evidence so far of presidential wrongdoing.
Corruption? I wouldn't be very much surprised, simply because rich people in positions of power are like that.
The part about the informant reminded me of another informant that swore up and down that Saddam Hussein had huge stockpiles of "weapons of mass destruction" -remember that? There weren't any.
By a trick of memory, I am also reminded of the previous Gulf war, and the harrowing testimony before Congress of a 15 year old girl about witnessing Iraqi soldiers emptying and taking incubators from a Kuwaiti hospital and leaving Kuwaiti babies to die on the cold hard floor. This also turned out to be a completely fictional story, told by (it was later revealed) the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador, that had been coached by a public relations firm called Hill & Knowlton, that was at the time contracted by the Kuwaiti government.
So I guess you can't always trust informants or evidence produced by republican activity.
Impeachment is a political process. So yes it’s always political theater.
It has more substance than the Trump impeachments. Biden has some answer to give for his behavior
Dang...people really do deny that Trump incited a insurrection. Y'all are wild.
We all watched him do it, caught red-handed, and then we're supposed to be like, but he's innocent until proven guilty!. Therefore he did nothing wrong.
That state between conviction and innocence is true for every criminal. Hell, the argument that "illegal" immigrants are invading the country is undermined by the conservative stance on Trump. Yeah, we can see videos of immigrants entering the country, but they're not convicted of anything, and therefore are innocent
To insist on the innocence of Trump over the innocence of immigrants is purely motivated reasoning. It just shows clearly that conservatives couldn't care less about principles, even those as immutable as basic logic, but are openly and proudly self-serving.
And the conduct of Hunter Biden reflects on Joe to the same extent the conduct of a crackhead reflects on any rich parent.
Also, just to twist the knife, Biden isn't on Epstein's list. But Trump is! Multiple times even!
I have. I remember the videos of them breaking the windows, pushing down the gates and doors, and forcing our electors from their chambers to stop the election. None of which are simply "protest".
These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long.
You can't just ignore the majority of the tweet, especially while pointing to the very literal last tweet of the day, after all the events transpired.
We all watched him do it, caught red-handed, and then we're supposed to be like, but he's innocent until proven guilty!. Therefore he did nothing wrong
Just saying "we watched it" doesn't actually mean it happened. You're free to just be wrong
