Airbnb names Lower Hutt its top trending New Zealand destination

The Wellington city took the crown, but a handful of small New Zealand towns also made the top 10 list.

Genuinely surprised by this one. What is there in Lower Hutt worth travelling for?

My guess is that it’s cheaper accommodation that is within easy travelling distance of Wellington, where accommodation has been expensive and harder to find in my experience.
- Good theory actually, especially if you are near the rail line.
