The government is expanding a campaign against single-use plastics that it started in 2019, when it banned the thicker plastic shopping bags that customers used to carry home their grocery items.
Where are they banned? Like not checkout bags, but the bags in the produce section? My city had banned the shopping bags, but nothing else plastic. It's such a shock to go to another city and be offered plastic bags now!
Oh the thin ones, my bad, we still have those. I've considered buying the mesh bags they sell though. We also still get iced coffee in a plastic cup too but don't worry the straw is paper!
