Well... Jerboa got an update and it looks kinda nice but getting a popup every time you load the app kinda sucks.
~Btw 0.18 isn't even out yet!~
So. 0.18 is now out, and I'll be doing some testing in the coming day to ensure nothing will go wrong. (See the announcement with me breaking image uploads)
Jerboa is managed by one of the main Lemmy devs, and they pushed the jerboa update because they changed the backend for lemmy.ml to a dev version of 0.18, and apparently want to make sure that their app was compatible with their instance.
Which is also why we all get random crashes...

I just updated too. The app worked for a few minutes (it really is a huge update and the app just feels so much smoother now with all the small fixes), but now it just crashes every time I open it. I assume it must have to do with the minimum server version requirement. Probably not a bad idea for me to go touch grass anyways haha.
Edit: nvm I guess it just wanted to crash like three times in a row, but seems to be working fine now.
Yeah same thing happened to me, random crashes, and then working. Glad you're back up and running
