@Ipodjockey @brenomartins What do you mean by this exactly? Lemmy is a federated platform, so if a rogue leadership for instance took over lemmy.world, you could spin up your own instance and migrate your community over there, and still connect with the broader network!
Now for the power of federated democracy to work properly, we need to not centralize on gigantic servers... 🤔 And that's hard to do properly, whilst still keeping things user-friendly enough for most folks.
