This is very pertinent warning for those still unaware.
My friend was warned not to leave with a green card by his immigration lawyer last time the felon was potus. We've already seen how different things are this time, I wouldn't even jay walk or speed if your immigration status is anything other than a citizen* (asterisks because already depending on your zip your mileage may already vary due to factors such as your race, health, age or gender).
I would argue that domestic flights are potentially to be avoided too, I wouldn't put it past ICE to post up at major airports or flagging all residents/non-citizens identification. If anyone is unaware, they've already detained and tortured to the point of hospitalization a white (I hate I have to put this), gay permanent US resident from the EU (Germany. He literally recently renewed his green card, so any excuse about a 10+ year old marijuana related misdemeanor is bullshit at best. Sources about the German guy: NBC articleNewsweek article
I would also point anyone still reading that hasn't seen it already to this post/article: Lemmy World post/link It lists 7 verified cases of Visa and Greencard holders being detained and/or deported.
Or this Independent article about a green card holder who was deported without her meds or identification over a marijuana charge.
