Tbh I feel like Linus wouldn't want to that. I see Linus as someone who very much chooses to live the live he lives, living in a tent and such so I doubt you would get him on board to get a house in the town
There's a plot moment where Robin offers to build him a house with running water, and he explodes... so I think you're on the money there

Linus' 8-heart cutscene, the one with Robin, explicitly says this, that he chooses to live in a tent and doesn't want a house.
