Plural of cactus is cacti. Plural of octopus is octopuses. Octopi is apparently acceptable now too, but I’m not convinced.
4 2 ReplyOctopus has a Greek root, so the correct plural would be octopodes. Octopuses and octopi are both acceptable, though. But I do love to bring up etymology whenever this comes up.
