A member of the French instance Jlai.lu suggests to defederate hexbear due to their problematic behaviours, including calls to violence. Hexbear members arrive, call for the destruction of Paris
I have to disagree with users saying it's just a bunch of communists and rich college kids.
I think the core of that instance is a state-funded disinformation effort. Sure, there are real people on there, especially vegans, leftists extremists, queer people, Arabic people, because they're the target of their propaganda.
Reddit is 50/50 Tankies & Nazis. Fediverse is like 90% Tankies & other terrorist simps, even outside of the Tankie instances. It's a complete clown show on all platforms honestly. I almost wish climate change wasn't such a slow cooking thing.
I mean, I blocked all the .ml / hexbear / grad communities, all the news communities and all the other communities who refuse to moderate disinformation or calling me a troll for reporting & calling out terrorist simps, all the meme communities, all the sport communities... Not much left here I'm afraid and it makes me wanna interact less with people, not more, since apparently the world is just going insane it seems.
Maybe it's only a way for them to express their disagreement with the actions if the israelian government ? As this is deemed antisemitic, it might cause overreaction...
Yeah, no. If you're simping for literal terrorists just because "Israel bad" then you've completely lost the plot. If Israel would act like those groups, the death toll, destruction, and other crimes would be in the millions. One can disagree with the Israeli government and still not end up simping for terrorists. I do, and I get shat on from both sides for it. Great times.
Well, it's a little more than " Israël bad". More like "Israel supposed to be good but kills tens of thousands of children, women and men, destroys any possible future for nations (incl. itself), ignores UN resolutions for years and is actively expanding colonies on extremist religious grounds and far right supremacist views". So " Hamas bad" ....
While trying to avoid labeling expressions for my answer, from what I could gather, Hexbear is an instance where at least the active users (can't say for the quite ones) are very pro-socialism/communism, and that seem to be very aggressive towards anyone that shows to not be favorable to revolutionary ideals, specially the ideals aligned to the aforementioned regime.
