Are there any formats where cards like this will become legal with MB2?
I think only the usual Commander/Legacy/Vintage style formats
They're only legal in the draft event you pull them in, and at the kitchen table.

NB: sealed events also exist.
MB1 events are very popular. Very fun to play, very fun to judge.
