Well, you can sue someone for anything, you just can't win for anything. For instance, those developers could countersue because the negligence and bad parenting of those parents materially damaged the reputation of those companies.
Totally agree, as a parent you have to spend time with your children. Sit with them and watch the games they play; Ask them about gameplay, what's the objectives? Is it multiplayer? Does it have a cash shop? You gotta be on top of them, if not then overtime habits form.
