Here's my solution to get rid of the Microsoft Account requirement for your computer.
It have worked flawlessly for me for years and even improves stability - I've not had a single Windows crash since I implemented this fix. An added bonus is that it fixed the never ending battle of disabling surveillance subsystems that are re-activated every time you update Windows (If one both knew about it and turned it off).
I'd say a lot of people are required to use i.e. Windows by the situation, but unless you're a slave the situation isn't forced upon you and it's more a matter of priorities?
