laughs maniacally in permethrin + DEET
I'll see you in hell, ticks!
10 0 ReplyI wish DEET didn't melt my clothes.
5 0 ReplyNever apply DEET to your clothes, that is what permethrin is for and it works great! Put it on all your outdoor clothes/gear!
DEET works great but is only for skin, let it dry first too.
7 0 ReplyPermethrin on shoes and clothes, DEET on skin?
4 0 ReplyI had DEET on my skin and sat in a UBER and my leg was sitting against the door of the car. After I left, I took paint and plastic with me on my leg after a 15 min ride.
7 0 ReplyOoof.
Silver lining, maybe the fee was cheaper than the healthcare after a bad bite. Did you pay something?
1 0 ReplyNo, I actually didn't notice until after I already left. I was wondering why my leg has melted plastic on it. Lol

Yep, DEET will melt synthetic stuff: Let it dry on your skin before you do anything and for clothes/gear use permethrin
1 0 ReplyIt was dry, but I started sweating and it became liquid again.

DEET scarred my water bottle, but it's no biggie because I've scarred it worse by dropping it.
