Keeping Up to Date with Arsenal News on Lemmy

It is clear that r/gunners is much more up to date than lemmy.world/gunners. Once Reddit API's come into effect, r/gunners will only be available on the official reddit app. Will anyone be willing to make the sacrifice, browse r/gunners, and then post all the same links/images on lemmy.world/gunners? I will for sure do my part. There is no need to drive traffic to Reddit more than necessary.

  • Right now, we're just not the most active community. Let's see how it is from tomorrow. But we will never be huge until we put in the effort.

    • That's not a bad thing IMO. I like the idea of this community being just a few hundreds of thousands of people. Yeah, we won't get as many posts. But hopefully we can avoid some of the toxicity of the other place, and focus on quality over quantity.

And if even just a handful of us can pop a couple of good quality links a couple of times a day on this community, it will be enough. And like you say, that will encourage others to join in too.

      • You're right, but I want some level of toxicity. Okay, that's not right. What I mean is, I want real people acting real. I don't want people over-acting whether in the toxic direction or the sickly sweet direction. I want real people, real thoughts and feelings. I want this to be a community of real fans.

    • Tbf we're also literally more active than any other single-club community
