Hey, I've seen moderators massively screw up smaller communities than this! đ
Fuck it. Let's just throw some subs on and let them get some playing time. Calafiori in for MLS, Tierney in for Trossard, Nwaneri in for Martinelli, Setford in for Raya, Merino in for Rice.
I agree. I avoid it as much as possible. The only time I go there there now is when I'm unable to watch a match live and we just scored a goal and I really want to see it. And even then I usually go to r/soccer first.
I feel like this community is perfect. A group for of between a dozen and two dozen very active regulars, who are fun to chat with and aren't obnoxious knob heads; good quality posts (very limited or zero low-quality memes); and good moderation that walks the line really well between keeping things easy going and not being over the top.
Pretty much every gooner community I've been involved with aside from this one has been flooded by argumentative elitists who are more interested in shitting on fellow gooners than in having interesting discussions.
The pro for Musk taking a lot of the lime light with all this crazy shit: we see and hear less of Trump's crap.
The con for Musk taking a lot of the lime light with all this crazy shit: we see and hear more of Musk as he does and says horrible shit.
This reminds me of the The Bizarre World of Fake Martial Arts documentary.
Basically, the CCP staged fights between MMA fighters and tai chi experts because they wanted to promote tai chi from a cultural perspective, and show it to be better than any other fighting martial art. A Chinese MMA fighter didn't follow the script and absolutely wrecked the tai chi 'fighter(s)' he weny up against. As a result, his social score was destroyed and his life was ruined by the CCP.
Not true. I know several people in the UK who have Roku streaming devices.
I used them for a long time. But switched elsewhere due to their enshitification through ads and their TPS bullshit.
Oh, so it's a conflict of interest on his part. Sounds about right.
Having encountered plenty of disagreeable and rude reddit users over the years, they're bragging about getting over a reeeeeaaaaally low bar!
Or... They're only interested in conspiracy theories when those theories reinforce their own persecution complexes.
The twist here is that Musk's shenanigans are going to seriously fuck them over, but they don't realize it yet.
Yeah, that's what I've heard. We were looking for a striker who can have an immediate impact. But Tel is still developing and it's questionable whether he will be able to jump right in as a top level forward.
So I can see why we didn't go for him in that context. And I can see why he would tell turn down the rolling clusterfuck that is Man United.
But I'm still perplexed why he would go to the spuds. He have probably been better off staying in Germany for now, and moving elsewhere in the Summer.
He might not have been the first black Metropolitan police officer. There's an argument that Robert Branford in the 19th century might have been. But it's not certain. And either way, Norwell was still a trailblazer worthy of attention and praise.
As expected, the poor guy received a ton of racial abuse. The fact that he persevered through that to become a Detective Sergeant shows his ability, intelligence, maturity, and grit. He's a fucking legend.
I remember seeing this lad in the Hale End series they did a couple of seasons ago. Most of the others in that video have since left the club. Interesting to see that he's still around, considering that we picked him up when he was dropped by another club (West Ham maybe?) and he barely made it through that year of our academy.
Also, from what I recall, he seemed more like an old-school centreback than a modern Continental one. But then he must have some serious skills for Arteta to be putting him on the bench for first team matches.
Either way, good luck to him. I hope he has a killer loan spell and comes back to either help out the first team or springboard on to a better loan spell.
Well, looks like Santa / Father Christmas left nothing but a little lump of coal in our Winter transfer stocking. đ„
I guess Trump is still mad that Melania was giving Trudeau the lovey eyes the last time he was in office.
I had forgotten that that treasonous turd was still floating in the congressional toilet.
Looks like we're fucked in this transfer window for bringing in another attacker. Urgh.
Not a massive surprise IMO. He wasn't a terrible defender on a general level. He was just far too slow to handle English football. Italian football seems a little slower pace and more tactical. So he might be okay, at least as more of a squad player.
"Hey ya big motherfucker! You knocked my boot off my foot! Is that how ya got that stupid shoulder decal that you're so proud of?"

Arsenal reportedly have two of former players on their radar to replace Edu as sporting director, with 'discussions initiated' with one of them.

Tomas Rosicky and Per Mertesacker are the two names mentioned.
Per seems like a natural choice given the fantastic job he's done with our academy. Tomas seems a bit more of an unknown, but apparently talks with him are already underway.

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya hit the headlines after his fantastic double-save against Atalanta but his spell at Southport followed shortly after

>David Rayaâs outstanding double save against Atalanta, in the northeast of Milan, in club footballâs most prestigious tournament was a far cry from a dismal debut in a 3-0 away defeat at Macclesfield for Southport.
Good article highlighting the interesting road Raya has traveled from a dodgy debut in non-league football as a fresh-faced teenager to being one of the first names in the team sheet for the Arsenal.
